How this demonstration works
Skater estimates use BenchWise v0.2 with invented season and recent rates. Goalie point estimates are fixed sample numbers. Player names and team labels are real; matchups and every numerical input are invented, with no live dates or availability inferred. The existing lineup engine applies its scoring-preset roster and budget constraints. This demonstrates functionality, not model accuracy.

Covered points are goals × 8.5 + assists × 5 + shots × 1.5, divided by games played. This preliminary baseline is not a validated predictive edge and is incomplete for DFS lineup comparisons. Use complete projections in the lineup builder.

Projection model and limitations
Model v0.2 blends supplied per-game season rates with up to 65% weight on recent rates, reduced when fewer than 10 recent games are available. Goals and assists receive an opponent goals-allowed adjustment against a 3.0 goals/game reference, capped at 0.8–1.2×. Shots and blocks are unadjusted. This heuristic has not been backtested.
DraftKings threshold bonuses use Poisson estimates. Missing PP/short-handed point rates are treated as zero; shootout goals, goalie offensive scoring and rare events are omitted. Imported projections override the model total. Goalie projections require supplied win, save, goals-against and shutout estimates. No injury or lineup news is inferred.
Start-time filtering requires timezone-bearing timestamps. The default availability filter skips records marked out, scratched, injured, inactive or suspended. Disabling it does not verify availability. Stacks enforce shared team/line/PP labels; they do not simulate correlated outcomes. No ownership model or automatic contest entry is included.
